GTX 1050 Ti: Chronicles of a Budget Legend

In 2016, while I was playing Batman: Arkham Knight using an Intel 4130 CPU with an Nvidia GT 640 GPU, the system could not maintain 24 fps.
After discovering that the graphics card MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GAMING X 4G cost only about HKD 1,399 (~ USD 180), I bought it to try. The game's FPS jumped to over 80. I did not need to upgrade any other parts of the computer.

As a bonus, the computer became much quieter. Before that, I hadn't realized how noisy the computer was or that the noise was primarily produced by the original graphics card. The new GPU had fan speed control, meaning that it would not spin at all when the workload was low.
